It's been a while since I updated on my job status. I wanted to get some clarity before making any sort of "announcement". All I can say is that this has been an interesting journey! In the Fall I entered into due diligence and got down to the final steps in buying a roofing company. The Seller made some last minute changes--which basically killed the deal from my perspective. So, I spent December trying to figure out "what next"? I decided to do some consulting under the banner "Kern Leadership Resources (KLR)"; and in 4 short months I ended up with 6 clients.
One of my "clients" has been Summit Church. I performed a ministry audit and then continued to help with various organizational development needs. It looks like I will be continuing in this capacity for the foreseeable future. I'll keep you posted as the story continues to unfold!
Jeff, congratulations on arriving at this next step in your journey. You probably wouldn't remember me -- some time ago on a Saturday afternoon you shared your wisdom with us over pizza and pop. Your insight was invaluable, and I maintain the highest level of respect for you and your ability.

Jeff, we met through the pastors of the small church in Wixom, Michigan in which my family and I were serving at the time. I'd be highly surprised if you did remember me since that meeting was long enough ago that it may have predated your move to Orlando and you and I haven't directly interacted since then.
That time stands out for me, though. I suppose that's what prompted me to let Google lead me to your blog the other day. I'm encouraged by what you've shared of your story -- thanks.
